Retiring my Cue

I decided after playing with Pedator Cues for the last 10 years it is time to play with something else.

I feel predator is greedy and will price themselves out of business. I went to order a new cue and i discovered I can only by half a cue now. They must be using the Harley Davidson business model lol.

Im going to start playing with a custom cue that I bought at the billiards expo last year, I ordered a 30 inch shaft plus it is carbon fiber which is my first.

I almost feel like part of my reasoning behind this change is that im too dependent on my cue. I like consistency but I find to much comfort in familiarity.

Im sort of excited about my cue, and today is the big day. Im going to begin by going through a practice session that will include my warm up, workout, shots 4, 5, 6 , 7, 8, 11, 14, 15, and finish with my 11 ball free play drill.

I want it to learn that wins come from practice.

My cue obviously is not just a cue stick, it has become a character in my story. I've never given a pool stick a name before, but I want to give this one a name. There is power within a name so I need to give it a good one.

I will call it Baxter, after my best friend that passed away a couple years ago. Every time I pull my cue out ill think of Baxter and this will be my way of keeping him in my heart.

I want my cue to have the personality of the serial killer character on the TV show Dexter, all business.

My cue is a gold rush gambler that I feel was meant for me in so many ways. One of my sayings is that I don't Gamble, I Practice.
